This ad was part of the ESPN+ for Business College Football Campaign, created to serve as a general, season-long promotional asset. Like the other evergreen ads in the campaign, it needed to be immediately recognizable as ESPN content, visually engaging, and flexible enough for use throughout the entire college football season.
To achieve this, I focused on ESPN’s core visual language, its signature gradients, bold typography, and energetic color palette, while avoiding imagery that could suggest specific teams. Instead of featuring players or uniforms, which risked implying team bias, I used a dynamic football centerpiece to symbolize the sport more universally. This approach not only adhered to ESPN’s brand standards but also ensured that the ad would remain relevant and neutral across all matchups.
The final design delivers a clean, high-impact visual that reinforces ESPN+ for Business’s professional branding while drawing viewers in through strong composition and color. It effectively communicates that ESPN+ is the platform for live college football coverage, achieving a balance between brand identity, clarity, and engagement.
