Recruitment Campaign Designs
Across each fall and spring recruitment cycle, I was responsible for translating a chapter-selected theme into a cohesive visual identity system used across all recruitment materials, including banners, flyers, apparel, and social media content.
Role & Workflow
After each theme was voted on by the chapter, I led the end-to-end design execution process—taking a high-level concept and developing it into a consistent, multi-platform visual system. This required adapting each theme into a unified style that could work across print, apparel, and digital formats while maintaining brand consistency with SigEp national guidelines.
Creative Process
Each cycle challenged me to explore new visual directions and tools. My process typically included:
- Researching the source material or cultural references behind each theme
- Identifying key visual traits (color palettes, typography styles, illustration approaches, etc.)
- Building a cohesive design language that could scale across multiple deliverables
- Iterating on mockups for both print and digital use cases
For the Grand Theft Auto-inspired recruitment theme, I specifically focused on capturing the game’s distinctive illustrated, high-contrast, cartoon aesthetic. I adapted these visual cues into a style appropriate for recruitment marketing while incorporating imagery and references that reflected SigEp’s identity and student culture.
Execution & Impact
The final campaign included a full set of recruitment assets, with the t-shirt design becoming one of the most well-received pieces of merchandise in recent recruitment cycles. It received consistent positive feedback from both members and new recruits, and continues to be referenced informally within the chapter as a standout design.
